Paula Mollenhauer studied pharmacy at the University of Münster and has been a licensed pharmacist since 2025. She also studied pharmaceutical sciences and completed her master’s thesis in the research group of Prof. Dr. Hanne Winther-Larsen at the University of Oslo. For this project, she worked on the development of a vesicle-based vaccine against Yersinia ruckeri infections in salmonids, focusing in particular on optimizing production conditions as well as vesicle isolation and testing.

Since April 2026, Paula has been working as a PhD student in the department of Microbial Natural Products at HIPS under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Rolf Müller. Her work focuses on the biological characterization and mode-of-action studies of novel natural product-derived antifungals.
