About

Matthias Flotho studied bioinformatics at Saarland University. During his master's studies, he worked as an assistant scientist and as part of his bachelor's and master's thesis at the Chair of Clinical Bioinformatics. He has started his doctoral studies in the research group of Dr. Fabian Kern directly afterwards. So far, he has worked with single-cell RNA sequencing data in the context of neurodegenerative diseases. His interests are in the field of neurological diseases and aging with a focus on developing and applying computational methods for analyzing spatial and single-cell RNA sequencing data.
