Taise Fukuda completed her Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy-Biochemistry at the University of São Paulo (Ribeirão Preto, Brazil). She then pursued a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences focused on microbial natural products at the same university, under Prof. Dr. Monica Pupo. During her PhD, she spent 1.5 years working at Harvard Medical School (Boston, USA), in the group of Prof. Dr. Jon Clardy. From 2021 to 2026, she worked at pharmaceutical companies, as an analytical scientist and as a biotechnology researcher.

Since July 2026, Taise has been working as a postdoctoral researcher in the Natural Product Biotechnology department at the Helmholtz Institute for Pharmaceutical Research Saarland (Saarbrücken, Germany). Her research focuses on specialized metabolites from the gut microbiome.
