Yuliya studied pharmaceutical sciences from October 2020 to September 2024 at Saarland University. Pursuing her postgraduate Master’s programme, she joined Prof. Dr. Claus-Michael Lehr’s lab in May 2025, exploring synthetic cationic lipopeptides as novel drug delivery systems.

Since April 2026, Yuliya is following her passion for microfluidic system-on-a-chip platforms to investigate the interaction of antimicrobial peptides with bacterial biological barriers. Her research project is leveraging synergies between the departments “Drug Delivery Across Biological Barriers” and “Antimicrobials through Chemoenzymatic Synthesis”, as Yuliya is simultaneously supervised by Prof. Dr. Claus-Michael Lehr and Dr. Alexander Kiefer.
