Yongjun Jiang received his PhD degree in Marine Pharmacology from Zhejiang University, China, in 2020. Following his doctoral studies, he worked as a lecturer and researcher at the School of Food and Pharmacy, Zhejiang Ocean University, where his research focused on the discovery, isolation, structural elucidation, and biological evaluation of marine-derived natural products. Supported by the CSC Postdoctoral Fellowship Program, he joined the Helmholtz Institute for Pharmaceutical Research Saarland (HIPS) in May 2026 as a postdoctoral researcher in collaboration with Prof. Rolf Müller. His current research focuses on the discovery of novel bioactive secondary metabolites and the investigation of natural product biosynthesis in Myxobacteria.
