Frederic Wüllner
About
Frederic Wüllner studied Human and Molecular Biology at Saarland University from 2020 to 2023. He completed his Bachelor's thesis at the Institute of Systems Biotechnology (iSBio), led by Prof. Dr. Christoph Wittmann, where he investigated the production of aromatic alcohols in Corynebacterium glutamicum.
In 2025, he received his Master's degree in Biology with a specialization in Biochemistry and Microbiology from the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg. During his Master's thesis in the research group of Prof. Dr. Sonja-Verena Albers, he studied the archaellum motor complex from a structural biology perspective.
In June 2026, Frederic Wüllner joined the research group of Prof. Dr. Christine Beemelmanns at the HIPS as a PhD student. His research focuses on the engineering and heterologous production of secondary metabolites.
