Yunsheng Gao studied bioengineering at Shandong Agricultural University from 2011 to 2015. He completed his M.Sc. degree in microbiology in July 2018 under the supervision of Prof. Youming Zhang at the State Key Laboratory of Microbial Technology, Shandong University. Subsequently, he joined HIPS as a PhD student and obtained his doctoral degree under the supervision of Prof. Rolf Müller. Starting from August 2023, he has been serving as a postdoc in the department of Microbial Natural Products. His research interests revolve around the discovery and biosynthesis studies of myxobacterial natural products.
