Christoph Porten
About
After completing his training as a chemical laboratory technician, Christoph Porten studied Applied Pharmacy at Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences, with a focus on regulatory affairs and analytics. He subsequently deepened his expertise in analytical chemistry and bioanalysis by completing a Master’s degree in Bioanalysis at Coburg University of Applied Sciences.
From 2021 to 2025, he conducted his doctoral research in the research group of Rolf Müller. His dissertation focused on the development and validation of analytical methods, particularly RP-UPLC-MS. In addition, the work included the optimization of extraction and purification processes as well as the application of proteomics and metabolomics analyses with statistical data evaluation and visualization. Furthermore, he served as a laboratory administrator, with responsibility for analytical instrumentation and data analysis software, including troubleshooting and staff training.
Since then, he has been working as a postdoctoral researcher with a focus on analytical method development and metabolomics.
