Wanqi Qin studied applied chemistry at Nanjing Agricultural University from 2016 to 2020. In 2020, she began her PhD research under the supervision of Prof. Bozhong Mu at East China University of Science and Technology, focusing on the discovery and structural identification of novel lipopeptides. Since July 2024, she has been working as a visiting doctoral student at the HIPS-department of Microbial Natural Products under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Rolf Müller and Dr. Chengzhang Fu, with support from the China Scholarship Council. Her research interests center on the discovery and biosynthesis of novel bioactive secondary metabolites.
