Tobias Füssel completed his Bachelor's degree in Chemistry at TU Dresden in 2020 and his Master's degree in Biochemistry, also at TU Dresden, in 2023.

Since graduating, he has been working as a research assistant in the working group of Prof Tobias Gulder (Technical Biochemistry) at TU Dresden.

His research focuses on the search for new natural products by cloning and expressing gene clusters in E. coli.
