Sidra Eisa

About

Sidra Eisa received her Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from the University of Peshawar, Pakistan, where her research project focused on off-label prescribing. She went on to complete her Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy, COMSATS University Islamabad, Pakistan, with a thesis on the synthesis of fluconazole derivatives as antileishmanial agents.
Later, she pursued her PhD at HIPS under the supervision of Prof. Anna Hirsch at the Department of Drug Design and Optimization, working on the synthesis of novel inhibitors targeting underexplored bacterial and malarial enzymes.
Since October 2025, Sidra has been working with Dr. Mariia Nesterkina at Smart Pharmaceutical Materials and systems, focusing on the synthesis of cholesteryl esters with liquid crystal properties.
