Gabriele Bianchi

About

Gabriele Bianchi studied Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technologies at University of Bologna, graduating successfully in 2022. He performed his Master Thesis project in Ghent, Belgium, working, under the supervision of professor Serge Van Calenbergh, on novel antimicrobials targeting the non-mevalonate pathway. Since May 2023, he is working as a PhD student in the department of Drug Design and Optimisation under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Anna K. H. Hirsch and Walid A. Elgaher. His PhD research focuses on the design and optimization of inhibitors of aconitate decarboxylase 1 (ACOD1) as antiinfective and Immunoprotective Therapeutics
