Anna-Lisa Jäckel

About

Anna-Lisa Jäckel studied pharmacy at Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg. After obtaining her pharmacist license in June 2018, Anna-Lisa began her career as a pharmacist. From April 2020 to October 2022, she took on the role of a Clinical Supply Project Manager at AbbVie Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG and was responsible for the production of clinical investigational medicinal products. During the period of November 2022 to April 2023, Anna-Lisa worked as a research assistant at Saarland University under the guidance of Prof. Meyer in the field of pharmacology and toxicology, conducting clinical-toxicological assessments related to poisonings, adherence, and abstinence controls.

Since July 2023, she has been a PhD student in the project "ImageTox" within the research group Microbial Natural Products led by Prof. Rolf Müller. Within the framework of the project and in cooperation with the CISPA (Helmholtz Center for Information Security), she is developing an automated image-based system for the zebrafish larvae toxicity model. This system aims to detect toxic side effects of drug candidates at an early stage. In the future, this should facilitate preclinical research on natural substances with respect to ADME-TOX studies and reduce the need for animal experiments.
