Lorenz Latta is a biologist and will be working as a postdoc on the in vitro systems for the blood-air barrier (alveolar membrane). He will follow up on projects already underway that aim to accurately characterize the biological properties of the cells/cell lines used to mimic the properties of native tissue as closely as possible. In the medium term, this should lead to the construction of better in vitro models.
