Lizana Martínez completed her apprenticeship as a chemical technician in the department Drug Design and Optimisation at the Helmholtz Institute for Pharmaceutical Research Saarland (HIPS) and was subsequently hired as a Technical Assistant. Previously, she studied Materials Science at Saarland University, acquiring fundamental knowledge in inorganic chemistry and materials science. During her apprenticeship, she also acquired practical experience in conducting in vitro studies, including permeation and penetration tests with human skin, as well as their analysis.
Her current responsibilities include performing organic syntheses and product analysis, supporting research projects, managing daily laboratory operations, and maintaining equipment.
