Hanna Perius

About

Hanna Perius completed her bachelor and master studies in chemistry at the Saarland University in Saarbrücken. She worked on the synthesis of an enantiomerically pure ligand for asymmetric vinylation in her bachelor thesis in 2020. During her master studies she focused on organic chemistry and medicinal chemistry and worked as undergraduate research assistant in the group of Prof. Alexander Titz at HIPS. In her master thesis, she worked on sugar antibiotic conjugates in the same group CBCH and finished her masters degree in 2023. Subsequently, she worked as a research assistant in CBCH and did a research internship with Prof. Ulf Nilsson in Lund, Sweden. In the beginning of 2024, she started her PhD under the supervision of Prof. Alexander Titz at Saarland University. Her project is focused on the synthesis of sugar antibiotic conjugates against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria for hijacking carbohydrate transporters.
