Aleksandra Kushnareva

About

Aleksandra Kushnareva graduated with honors from Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University with a Bachelor's degree in Biology in 2021. Subsequently, she completed a Master's degree in Bioinformatics at Saarland University with a thesis on 'A comprehensive database and evaluation workflow for supporting NRPS specificity prediction'.
Following this, she started as a PhD student in the Human-Microbe Systems Bioinformatics research group.

Her research focuses on analyzing microbial (meta)genomes and developing computational tools and databases to support natural product discovery. Her interests include microbial natural products, phylogeny, and mobile genetic elements.
