Angeliki Vgenopoulou obtained her BSc degree in Chemistry from the University of Patras (UoP) in Greece with an emphasis on organic synthesis. During her Erasmus studies she worked at the University of Cardiff on Green Chemistry. Angeliki completed her MSc in Medicinal Chemistry at the Department of Pharmacy (UoP) with her thesis being on newly synthesized artemisinin hybrids containing triazole linkers. She did her Erasmus+ traineeship at HIPS and worked on the synthesis of novel IspD inhibitors targeting the MEP pathway. Since September 2023, she has been working as a PhD Student under the supervision of Prof. Anna Hirsch. Her research focus is on the design and synthesis of novel Elastase B inhibitors.
