Yunsheng Gao studied microbiology and received his M.Sc. degree (July 2018) at the State Key Laboratory of Microbial Technology, Shandong University. Sponsored by the China Scholarship Council, he started as a PhD student (October 2018) at the HIPS-department of Microbial Natural Products under the supervision of Prof. Rolf Müller. His research focuses on genome guided discovery, biosynthetic pathway engineering and biosynthesis studies of myxobacterial natural products.
