About

Samy Aliyazdi is PhD student at the Helmholtz Institute for Pharmaceutical Research Saarland (HIPS) in the department of Drug Delivery (DDEL). He graduated in biological sciences at University of Konstanz and in biotechnology at Saarland University. He aims to design 3D infected in vitro models of lung as well as of skin-hair follicles by using the modern technology of 3D bioprinting. This research helps to design platforms for the testing of new antiinfectives, also as an important alternative to animal experiments.
