Philine Kirsch studied Chemistry (M. Sc.) at the Saarland University. She started her PhD in the group of Dr. Martin Empting at the department Drug Design and Optimization (DDOP) at HIPS in 2016. Her research focuses on the design and synthesis of novel antiviral agents targeting the Latency-associated Nuclear Antigen (LANA) of the Kaposi’s Sarcoma-associated Herpesvirus (KSHV).
