Justine Bassil graduated from the University of Balamand-Lebanon with a BSc in Chemistry in 2017. She later obtained her MSc degree in Chemistry at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum in 2021 with an emphasis on organic synthesis. She started as a Ph.D. student in the same year at the HIPS in the department of Drug Design and Optimization, as well as Drug Delivery under the supervision of Prof. Anna Hirsch and Prof. Claus-Michael Lehr. Her research focus is on synthesizing and designing novel pH-responsive drug delivery carriers targeting infectious diseases.
