Eike Siebs

Eike Siebs obtained his bachelor’s degree in chemistry at the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Universität Hannover. At the same university he continued with his master in medicinal and natural product chemistry. His master thesis was in the field of the total synthesis. Since 2018, he has been working as a PhD-student on the development of non-carbohydrate glycomimetics targeting different bacterial lectins. Potential hits are improved synthetically and afterwards tested in biochemical/ -physical assays for their binding affinities.
