Dr Jelena Konstantinović


Jelena Konstantinović studied Chemistry at the University of Belgrade, Serbia. She obtained her PhD at the same University in 2018 in the group of Prof. Bogdan Šolaja, working on the synthesis of novel antimalarials and botulinum neurotoxin A inhibitors. In the period 2012–2018, she worked as a teaching assistant on organic chemistry courses. Since October 2018, she is working in the group of Prof. Anna Hirsch at the Helmholtz Institute for Pharmaceutical Research in Saarbrücken as a postdoctoral researcher. Her main focus is on developing efficient antivirulence agents for the treatment of Clostridium histolyticum and Pseudomonas aeruginosa-derived infections.
