Dr Gwenaëlle Jézéquel

About

Gwenaëlle Jézéquel studied organic chemistry at Centrale Marseille (France) where she obtained a first M. Sc. degree in 2014, and medicinal chemistry at Pierre and Marie Curie University (Paris, France) where she obtained a second M. Sc. degree in 2016. She received her PhD at Paris-Saclay University in 2019 in Fanny Roussi's team, and stayed for one more year there as a postdoc. She worked on the hemisynthesis and total synthesis of natural compounds, then started medicinal chemistry projects on these compounds. She joined Anna Hirsch's group at HIPS in June 2021 to develop compounds against antimicrobial resistance and coronavirus. She's interested in medicinal chemistry, natural product chemistry and total synthesis.
