Atanaz Shams studied cell and molecular biology at IAU, Tehran medical branch university in Iran. After graduation, she participated in various workshops such as drug design, bioinformatics and essay writing to broaden her knowledge and experience. After studying biotechnology at Saarland University, she completed her master's thesis in Prof. Dr. Hirsch's group, focusing on ECF. Now she continues the ECF project as a PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hirsch.
