Gregor studierte Pharmazie in Berlin und promovierte 2013 an der Eidgenössischen Technischen Hochschule (EHT). Nach einem Marie-Curie Postdoc-Aufenthalt am Imperial College London initiierte er 2016 seine Nachwuchsgruppe Biogene Nanotherapeutika (BION) am HIPS.
